This week we learned all about planets, stars (mommy's favorite), astronauts, solar systems, and aliens (just for fun)! =)
We started by making a chart of the solar system. I found this sticker kit for $.99 at the craft store. How cool is that??

I love the way Ezra says "soh sistem"!

Next we took advantage of the back to school sales and created a crayon box just like Mimi's. We got 50 Crayola crayons and a box to keep them in for $1.10!

Ezra was so excited!

He used the new crayons and markers to do some "free art" scribbling on paper. I took his scribble sheet and cut out star shapes...

Then we tied them to straws and made a mobile to hang above the play table.

Next up, we created a space helmet. The medium of choice today was markers and tiny space stickers I found in the dollar section at Target.

I drew a smiley face on a second paper plate and gave him 2 googley eyes to glue down...but apparently this astronaut needed 3 eyes! =)

It still turned out pretty cute though...extra eye and all. =)

For our last project, Daddy Talin drew a picture of two aliens the night before. Ezra giggled when he saw the picture, and squealed when I told him we would be painting the colors on the picture, "oh yay!"

I couldn't help but paint alongside him...those aliens were just BEGGING to be colored. We're calling this one a joint project. The googley eye and stickers was a last minute addition by Ezra. =)
Field trip Friday was postponed this week...due to circumstances that will be discussed later. =)Our books this week were: Astro Bunnies, What the Sun Sees, Our Solar System, Roaring Rockets, Mars Needs Moms, and Draw Me a Star
