Beach Babies

It was so beautiful today! Sicky baby Ezra and I couldn't stay inside. It was time to get some fresh air, and I figured a trip to the beach wouldn't be as rowdy as the park. Plus, it's finally warm and sunny!
With a new bucket and tools (thanks Uncle Matt and Aunt Erin!), Ezra set about digging up the beach...but he did NOT want to leave the comfort of the blanket!
Of course we brought the dump truck. What beach trip would be complete without a big yellow truck filled with sand?
I had to get a picture of his little sandy paws...aren't they so cute!? (grrr...I didn't realize I had a sunscreen smudge on the lens.)
He was kind of mad when I mushed his toes into the sand...
but, he was super sweet for the standard "Mommy and Ezra" picture. =)
Then we saw a seagull eating...A STARFISH! What the what? This was the best shot I could get of the starfish dangling out of his beak (look really close at the corner of his mouth).
He would choke the pointy meal down...walk around with a swollen throat for a bit (can you see it in this pic?) and then puke the little guy back out. BLEH! Ezra thought it was pretty funny though.
What a wonderful afternoon! Our next goal is to get Ezra into the ocean with one of us. He still has a HUGE fear of the waves and won't go anywhere near them. Although, he's afraid of pools too, so I guess he inherited his dad's hatred of water. Sigh....poor mommy. =)
The truth is this was his favorite part of our outing...snack time!
