Ezra's Daddy

This year, Ezra wanted to do something special for his daddy. We went to the craft store in Utah and found a really fun wood frame and sparkly paint. On Saturday, we finally found time to put everything together. He couldn't wait to get started!
Once he got the hang of the brush, he wanted to squeeze, and squeeze, the paint...
with a little help from Mommy, this was the finished product. He picked out the accent piece too. There were three to chose from and he was VERY sure he wanted the yellow one. =)
We made a quick stop at the local candy store and picked up some fun "pop" ...for Ezra's "pop" ha ha ha!
While Daddy took a nap after church , we set everything up on the front room table...
Ezra took a special coke into the bedroom to wake him up.
He RAN down the hall, and dove into our bedroom screaming "coooooooooke"!
Then, he dragged Talin by the hand out to the front room...
where he happily described how long it had taken him to put together the frame, and how tricky it was to pick out just the right type of pop.
He explained why each one was special, and made sure that Daddy liked them...
then he tried to sneak a taste while Daddy was reading his card.

Sunday was also Ezra's first day in nursery. He got this adorable little handout about the Holy Ghost..
which he thought was pretty cool.
And, He made a special card for Talin. (I'm sure he had lots of help from our awesome nursery leaders!) =)
After presents, it was time for dinner....mmmmm...watermelon.
Doesn't this look delicious? Grilled artichokes are AMAZING! Why, why, why has it taken me so long to try these!?!?
Talin really liked his"Father's Day pork-chops"
But, sleepy, sleepy Ezra just wanted to eat couscous and watermelon....he literally couldn't shove the couscous in fast enough!
It feels good to be back home, together as a family. We love you so much Talin! You are an amazing father and husband! We hope you had a happy Father's Day, and we hope you know that you are the center of our world. =)
