Yesterday Ezra and I decided to explore the green space behind the fence in our back yard.
It was niiiiice and cool...
...but honestly, after a few hills, I was starting to regret our plans to hike!
HA!
We did find lots of fun new discoveries....like a bluebird nest, a lizard family, and wild raspberries....or blackberries...not sure which.
We slowly made our way back home
(much to Ezra's frustration)
but the promise of scootering around the neighborhood
(as close to home as possible for this weary momma)
made everything better.
Our outside adventures ended when the UPS man showed up with baby sister's new bed
(YAY! I'm officially saying that we have all the essentials.....she can now safely come to a pair of prepared parents. ha!)
...so we decided to check out the local ice cream parlor before picking Daddy up from the train station.
We will definitely be back! =)
Hooray for fun days of discovering!

I'm so jealous that it sounds like the weather there is much more tolerable than the triple digits we've been tortured with! And that ice cream looks to DIE for. I can't wait until I can just eat whatever the heck I want again :)
Hurray indeed for exploring!
Jen Jen those are blackberries, I use to pick them in the fall and make blackberry jam when I lived in Santa Rosa. That green space is going to be fun in the fall and winter when you get your body back from baby princess:)
