I'm never really sure when to put up the Valentine's Day decorations.
Too soon, and I find myself counting down the days until I can get away from hearts and candy.
Too late, and it seems pointless to haul everything out just to take it back down again.
Yesterday turned out to be cold and cloudy so decorating became the perfect "post-nap" activity.
Of course we needed a big bowl of popcorn...

...nothing creates a party atmosphere faster then a bowl of fresh, warm, popcorn. =)

Ezra was given the big job of deciding where to put the window clings...

...I may have collected a little too many Valentine clings during my teaching years...

....but he didn't seem to mind.
HA!

Pretty good job if I do say so myself.
To be honest, I couldn't NOT help stick these up...window clings are a bit of a weakness of mine.
Can you tell?
HA!

Let the love festivities begin!

You might be surprised to hear that Valentine's Day is my all time favorite holiday. If people would let me (at work & at home), I'd put the Valentine decorations up as I was taking down the Christmas decorations. This year though, I at least waited until about the middle of January! :)
I don't know Jen, I just saw Ezra's 3rd birthday party and it looked pretty darn amazing! He sounds a lot like my Henry. They know exactly what they want. I love it! I tried to get a hold of you on New Years Eve. I am sure you were busy with family but next time you are in town call me up. Let's get our boys together.
Makes me homesick for the clings and all your and your sisters little fingerprints all around them on the windows. No clings at my house anymore *sigh* those are wonderful memories to carry around. I'm glad you are passing on the memories
I vote valentined goes up on my birthday, then you get a whole month of pink red and white.
I hope you two sickies are feeling better tomorrow.
XOXOX Mom
AMBER! I didn't know you still read the blog! =) I AM totally surprised at your love of Valentines day!! ha!
Jill I'm so sad I missed out on that. =( I'll get a hold of you next time we're in town. I have a feeling that Henry and Ezra would be fast friends.
Mommy....I love you! Just think how CLEAN your windows are. ha ha ha I know it's not the same though.
Next year's decorations will go up the day after your birthday. =) Love you!
