Rain falls

It's been raining like crazy for the past few days!

When I say like crazy, I mean literally SHEETS of rain and HUGE gusts of wind that shake the windows and make our radiator rattle.

I LOOOOOOOVE stormy weather...but I don't love being trapped in the house with a two year old who really, really, really, really just needs to get his energy out.

So, we've been doing our best to find creative ways to stay busy. Most of our activities are "school" related and I'll post about that later, but today...

...we played "jazz band" with Mee Mee's old guitar.

I love watching Ezra's imagination blossom.

It's so funny to me that he thinks up fun senarios in his mind and then acts them out.

He was so proud of the music he was making...he just couldn't keep his dancing hips still! =)

Oh how I wish the flash didn't go off on this picture!

But, I'm glad it captured how happy his face is!

When he grows up to be a famous musician this photo will be in the liner notes of one of his albums.

We had to get a little creative with lunch today too.

Ezra wanted CHEESY noodles...and the powder cheese in our favorite mix just wasn't gooey enough...

...so I added a bit of real cheese and a few tablespoons of white bean puree for a bit of a protein kick (ALWAYS looking for ways to sneak protein into this boy's belly!)..

...and the cheesy noodles came out super ooey cheddar gooey!

...which made this little noodle lover one happy boy!
