Today is last day of our first week alone. We had some CRAZY adventures, and lots of learning moments..but overall I think we did ok. (although we both ended up in tears on many occasions)
Ezra learned: how to ride in a carseat for longer than 15 minutes, how to drink a bottle in the backseat of a car, how to have his diaper changed in the backseat of a car, how to get mommy's attention by screaming as though in pain..then smile and giggle a little when lifted out of the carseat!
Mommy learned: PATIENCE! and..she doesn't do so well when it comes to functioning on 4 hours of sleep 3 days in a row (she needs to listen to daddy and take naps more often).
We learned what our limits are too-as of yet we still haven't made it into the city (we got as far as Market street to see Talin's exhibit but then had to turn around due to total baby break down). We learned baby's don't wait to eat when they say EAT..we eat..we've got mixing bottles down to an art! And as much as we love each other, Mommy has learned to not have hurt feelings when Ezra just wants to be in the swing instead of her arms.
We never would have made it through this week without the meals coming in from the ward. Without visits from friends (THANK YOU Dru and Bethany!). Without family on the phone 24/7 listening to me whine and cry. But we especially couldn't have made it without a patient daddy Talin.
