For 8 days we missed our Daddy Man like crazy!!
So, promptly after nap time on Saturday, we proudly pinned up the welcome banner we'd created to celebrate his return and headed out to the airport to bring him home!!
I took my time getting to the airport, knowing that customs could take awhile.
We strolled into the international terminal and Ezra began jumping around
(in typical 3 year old fashion)
while I caught up on text messages.....suddenly....out of nowhere....Ezra and I were SCOOPED up into a HUGE hug!
Tal had breezed through customs and totally surprised us!
I didn't even get a chance to get my camera out!! =)
After snuggles we hustled to the car, and Ezra just couldn't hold back anymore he HAD to know that Daddy had brought him!
HA!
Needless to say, we are officially STOCKED up on chocolate and quality wooden toys.
Thanks Daddy!!
After a relaxing weekend reunited as a family, we decided to spend Labor Day at one of our favorite beaches......
...it was SUPER foggy, and a bit chilly...
...but as the day wore on the sun pushed through the clouds and by mid afternoon I felt like we were in Southern California.
Ezra wasted no time making new friends to dig, run and play with!
And, I wasted no time settling down on our blankets with my favorite book, and my favorite Talin.
SO glad he's home!
All too soon, it was time to head home for dinner and bed.
Ezra fell asleep tired and happy....and poor Talin fell asleep with the WORST sunburn of his life! We're talking blisters under blisters!
SO SAD!
All in all, though, it was a wonderful Labor Day.
