On the day Talin returned from Switzerland we had a loooooooong wait until he came home.
Lucky for us, one of Ezra's bffs agreed to join us for a day of fun at Ardenwood's Rail Fair!
The boys had SO much fun exploring.....
.....examining.....
and excitedly watching the tiny trains!
Of course, no trip to the Rail Fair would be complete without a cup for homegrown popcorn, popped on the old wood stove (and in true boy fashion, without an awesome stick to tote around).
The chickens needed a visit....
....and the hay circles were the perfect place for a game of tag.
We stopped to listen to some old timey music...
....and make-believe fun...
...HA!
By far, the favorite attraction was the "kid controlled" remote control train station....
...and, the queen of the festival, the giant steam engine!
What a wonderful time at the fair!!
