On Tuesday night, Ezra asked Aunt Heidi to take him to one of his favorite places in L.A....the Griffith Observatory!
(again...keep in mind that my ancient cell phone was doing all the picture work here)

We waited for the sun to go down...
...packed a delicious burrito dinner...
...then headed up to play.
Ezra performed an impromptu concert at the base of his favorite statues
(it was pretty hilarious, I WISH I'd gotten a video of it!)

After finishing our meal we made our way to the main doors of the observatory and marveled at how small the crowd was compared to the first time we attempted this adventure...
...only to find the huge double doors locked!!!!
Oh...yeah...the observatory is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
SAD!
So, making the most of our late night fun, we walked all around the grounds taking silly pictures, looking through telescopes, and standing in awe at the vast expanse of the city.
It ended up being a wonderful adventure...even if it didn't go as planned. =)

The next day Talin was done with workshops and lunches!
YAY!
The weather, however, had decided to turn soggy.
So, rather then slogging through the downpour we decided to hole up at Aunt Heidi's house with take out from Joan's.

We talked....

...and played....
...and talked some more!
Ezra finally grew so slap happy that we decide to shlep him back to "our hotel home"
(his name for our hotel)
to nap.

He slept...
...and slept...
...and slept...
...lulled by the rain and a quiet dark room...
...he slept some more!
Once he finally woke up his little tummy was screaming for more food...so away we went to Colori Kitchen to enjoy some of the best Italian food I've had in a loooong time!

I was feeling melancholy after dinner because it was our last night in L.A.
But, then Talin graciously offered to put Ezra to bed by himself and sent Heidi and I off for a little Berg girl fun!
Isn't he sweet? =)

Heidi took me to one of her favorite cafe's where we feasted on hazelnut cake
(it was like eating a giant Rocher candy!)
sipped warm drinks and laughed for hours on end...

...my face muscles hurt when we left!
I haven't laughed that hard in so long!
It was wonderful to just sit and be sisters for a few hours.
Thanks Talin for the break...
...and thank you Heidi for the amazing sister time!

The next morning we checked out and drove down to Anaheim
(an epic adventure to which I will dedicate an entire post).
But, before I get into that madness here are a few "Disney Halloween Time" pictures to set the mood....
(yes, that is totally Ezra fast asleep in the Ergo on Talin's back! HA!)

...oh how I love Disneyland in the fall!
