... where ice cream in the middle of a fog-laden city suddenly sounds like the ONLY thing you want to eat...
...where magical flavors like snicker-doodle cinnamon,
brown sugar, salted caramel, olive oil, and malted vanilla are the norm?
The kind of weekend where a playground smothered in thick mysterious clouds....
...is filled with squealing laughing children...
...who see wonder and excitement in the rushing drama of summer fog...
...where you tentatively take your toddler to one of your favorite "grown up" restaurants...
....and not only does he sit nicely, eat new things, and smile politely at the table next door....he actually accepts....even LAUGHS at (for the first time) the small flickering candle on your table?
The kind of weekend where a snaggle-toothed cat lazily watches you playing on the floor from an unexpectedly cozy perch...
...where torn jeans destined for the garbage can, despite their excellent fit, suddenly sprout faces....
...earn a nickname (Marvin), and find a whole new place in the wardrobe?
The kind of weekend where you wake up on Monday morning to find a swollen tub of salsa and a pair of shoes in the oven....which makes you sigh as you think about the long days ahead until the weekend can come out to play again.
