Today was awful!
Literally from the first second I swung my legs out of bed things...were...horrible!
- I broke a glass (and our salt shaker) opening the cupboard to make breakfast.
- BOTH of the cats decided that the contents of their stomach belonged on the floor.
- Ezra threw a flat out passive resistant fit at Home Depot (while I was trying to replace the broken shower head that had BLOWN off the wall and bonked me right in the neck)...when I picked him up while letting him know that I did not appreciate the looks we were receiving while he dragged himself along the floor...he abandoned his passivity and decided to be actively resistant by kicking and screaming all the way out.
(p.s. this fit began over my refusal to buy him a l-bend pipe...what he thought he needed an l-bend pipe for I will NEVER know!)
- At the post office he cried giant crocodile tears when I shipped off birthday toys, that he seemed to think were his, to cousin Jonah ...and then again when I packaged up a stuffed elephant for Grandma Maridawn. The sweet postal worker may have gotten a harsher look then I intended when she asked "why didn't you bring some of his toys along to play with?" Are you kidding me lady?? My car is a toy box on wheels!
After fighting through lunch, I was starting to feel the frustration lift as Ezra ticked away his third hour into nap time (WOOOO)
- and then my toenail fell off....EWWWW...I know...sorry....too much info. I stubbed it last week and apparently it was just waiting to abandon ship...I guess it was black and blue under my bright red polish..who knew?
By the time Ezra finally woke up (3 and 1/2 hours....hmmmmm I wonder if that means he's getting sick) it was time to change things up.
While playing with trucks, he kept asking me to "put on" Car Wash his all time favorite song. If we were living in a cartoon a light bulb would have suddenly appeared above my head.
One tub of soapy water, a towel, and a scrub brush later...our house became the happiest place on earth...
And of course we needed to blow dry the cars when they were all clean...just like the big dryers at the car wash we go through. =)
Oh yes...and he now thinks it's hilarious to do this when I ask him to smile for the camera. Ha! Goodbye horrible Thursday!! I won't be missing you...well...not most of you anyway. =)

Way to turn that day around! Good job, you!
Jen, seriously you put me to shame! Will you stop being such an awesome mom so the rest of us will look ok? J/K
I only have one word for catching up on the 6 post. COME HOME NOW!!!!I'm missing way too much fun. I can't believe I go to Los Angeles for a second and all this happens. Really Utah could be a fun place to live you can have a backyard and the Uintas feel a lot like the Muir woods, honest I've been in both and you can borrow Meme's and Poppop's camping gear and will be able to FIND a camping spot or better yet go camping with them. Come Home :)
Love you all MeMe and Poppop
