More shots....blech!

Most of you already know the saga of the DTaP but for those of you who don't, here's a quick rundown. There are three brands of the DTaP vaccine, one of them still has mercury in it (hello!), the other one has a ton of aluminum and is made with cow cells (I realize that many vaccines are made with animal cells), but the THIRD one has HALF the aluminum, HALF the pertussis and has NO animal cells. So...after a few months of back and forth with Kaiser, I found out that there is only one Kaiser clinic that uses the vaccine I was looking for and it was all the way out in the south bay!! Luckily-Blossom Birth is half way between our house and the clinic, so after a fun class this morning, Ezra and I packed it on down to get the shot. MAN I HATE WHEN HE GETS SHOTS!!!! It was actually better this time...much better! Afterwards, Ezra and I were snuggling out on the clinic's patio waiting for the pain to go away...a mom, who was also consoling a recently vaccinated little girl, and I were talking about how hard it is to see our babes in pain and then suddenly her daughter had a seizure!!!! It was so scary!! The nursing staff came rushing right out to help...but I couldn't stop feeling the adrenaline pump through my system for like an hour!!

Once again, Talin came home and made everything better! Ezra is so glad when Daddy comes home!!!
