Trunk or Treat!

Last night we went to the BIGGEST trunk or treat I have ever seen!!
Three wards combined at the stake center to make one HUGE Halloween celebration.

Things started off with a soup and bread potluck, followed by a haunted house that our little policeman wanted nothing to do with.
HA!
Can't say I blame him...it was SUPER scary!

After that we headed outside....
...and anxiously waited while trunks got ready for treaters.
Some families went ALL out on their decorations!
I wish we'd gotten more pictures of the creativity flooding our parking lot.
Ezra couldn't WAIT to get started...
...I'm pretty sure he was the first kid out there, bucket in hand, shouting, "TRUNK OR TREAT!"  HA!
(He was very careful to inform me that on this particular occasion the words "trick or treat" were not correct to use.)
 Daddy took him around once...
(unbeknownst to Junie and I who were still inside socializing over a steaming bowl of cilantro lime soup....oh Aunt Lisa you have CHANGED my life with that recipe!)
...but of course, he had to go around again with Mom....
....and baby sister.
(poor Junie's costume wasn't ready in time for the party...good thing she has a MeeMee and Grandma to send her festive holiday outfits!)
After round two, this time with buddies...
(that's his little friend Ezra W. on the left....that's right....there is ANOTHER Ezra W. in his primary class!!)

...we came home with more candy then I think he'll get on Halloween!
HA!
But the REAL treat of the night?
BOTH kids in bed ON TIME and happy!
Hooray for quiet house snuggling with Talin. =)
