383!

...that's how many pictures of our Georgia adventure are sitting in my dropbox!!
I have some serious choosing to do.
Until then, I'm going to try and keep current with what we're doing in our everyday, non traveling, life.
HA!
Wish me luck!

Yesterday was dragging...
(oh blurgh Monday why are you always sooooooooooo looooooooooong)
...so Ezra and I decided to try a new play-dough recipe.
We've been experimenting with homemade dough lately
(kool-aid was a HUGE hit).
We broke out the Jello and gathered craft supplies to try another amazing Pintrest idea I saw the other idea.....play-dough monsters.
Hooray for the creative homeschool mommies of Pintrest....
...oh, that should be a reality show....
"the real stay-at-home moms of Pintrest"
ha ha ha ha oh man....I'm a nerd!

Ezra set right to work measuring and mixing ingredients.
(I'm trying to be a more laid back Mom when it comes to messes during play time....
...this was a good test of my progress. HA!)
We lucked out and found "monster themed" Jello for our soon to be play-dough monsters...
...and after a bit of heat...
(mom's turn to mix!)
....things were looking pretty good!
Then came the kneading.....warm, soft, lime scented, squishy dough.....ahhhhhh so fun!
Once we got the stickiness under control...
(and could actually handle the cooled dough)
...we set to work with googley eyes, white pony beads, and pipe cleaners....
...I love watching the creative process of this four year old! =)
We created quite the collection of little green friends....
...but Ezra wanted one he could "play with".
(In other words....a more three dimensional friend)
We experimented together and created these "twins".
The giant eye and silver tooth on his makes me laugh every time!!
Of course, no monster is complete without legs/tentacles.
HA!
We couldn't be happier with how this play-dough turned out.
Hooray for Monday adventures in creating. =)
