This week's summer camp theme was "Pirates!"
Needless to say it's been a raucous week full of sea chanties, adorable buccaneer crafts, and hours and hours of talking like a pirate.
It was a lot of fun, but Ezra couldn't WAIT for "dress like a pirate" friday!
HA!
All week long he told me what he wanted his costume to look like
(even vetoing a few ideas I thought were fun....
"what do you mean you don't want a beard painted on your face?")
This morning, when he woke up, he was so excited to find his outfit laid out for him and literally begged to get dressed and out the door!
I wish I could have taken a picture of his little class.
They all looked SO cute in their pirate get-ups, especially the tiny pirate girls.
I had to stop myself from squealing at a few of them!
Teacher Laura went so far as to paint a goatee on, which made the kids laugh as she greeted them all in a booming pirate voice, "I'm sorry you guys I forgot to shave last night". =)
Three hours later we returned to a room full of exhausted, but happy little pirates.
Ezra couldn't wait to tell me about his treasure hunt through the park that ended with finding a chest full of goody bags.
How awesome is preschool life?
