Cruisin' for more than a bruisin'

Ever since baby E has learned how to move from object to object in our house, he's gotten all sorts of little bumps and bruises...today, however, took him to a new level of injury.

Yes that is blood all over our shirts! Talk about freaking out! Ezra missed a step and hit the corner of our coffee table. He raised his little head up, crying, and I realized his mouth was covered in blood (that's the first time I've ever seen him bleed...other then when getting a shot)! I of course went nuts (although I tried to maintain a calm outer shell I was screaming OH-MY-GOSH!!!!!!! on the inside) After getting the bleeding to stop, talking to two nurses, and carefully examining of his tiny teeth it looks like everything is going to be ok.

But, I'm not sure I'm ready for the injuries that come with childhood. Ezra, on the other hand, was up and playing after only a minute of crying. Guess I better learn that lesson from him. =)

Man, that's so scary - and also sounds like something I would do, fall and bleed from the mouth. I would freak out too. He's such a trooper - and just as cute as ever!

Awww that's so sad. Kids love to freak their parents out. Our kid cut the corner of his eye on our three inch thick PADDED Ottoman. Go figure.
