Georgia on my phone

Alright Mom and Lisa....I've officially given up on getting the vacation pics!
HA!!
I'll just have to steal them on a cd when I come home this summer.
I did want to document our time there though....luckily I have all my grainy, janky, cell phone pictures to upload. =)

Ezra was so excited to #1 get on a plane again....and #2 see his cousins!
I planned about a MILLION activities for the plane trip
(5 hours without Talin to help entertain! GAH!)
but in the end he just wanted to look out the window and read books.
(looks like I brought a miniature version of Talin after all.)
We were beyond excited to see the Vincent family again!
Kingston is so grown up!!!
p.s. I did not just happen to get a lucky shot here...this baby boy has perma-grin.
HA!
Our first day in the peach state we took thing easy and drove to the country
(and I mean C-O-U-N-T-R-Y....I couldn't help but sing songs from O Brother Where Art Thou as we drove along)
to enjoy some down-home barbeque and made from scratch strawberry cake.
(I want a slice of that cake overnighted to me on my birthday by the way....oh my gosh so good!!!!)
Ezra was in cousin heaven!
The next day we explored the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead.....although this one of the historical houses....the ones in the surrounding neighborhood weren't much smaller.
HA!
Can you see two naughty cousins playing at the top of the fountain?
We explored, lounged, laughed, played, snacked and had a wonderful time.
I decided to officially take my baby back home with me!
Ha ha ha, come on Kingston you know I'm your secret momma!
I wish. =)
Random story....we decided to switch hotels
(dude the first one we stayed at was COVERED in hair...not kidding...whoever had that room before me should seriously see a doctor....either that or the housekeeping staff needs re-training on how to wipe down bathroom walls.....and change linens.....and dust the table tops.....BLEH!)
ANYWAY....the first night in our new hotel room we were SO excited...everything was new
(it even SMELLED new)
and had a beautiful view.
There was only one problem.....the mattress was made out of solid ROCK!
Oh friends I kid you not!!
Apparently it was some form of sleep number bed...but NONE of those numbers=comfort.
Ezra was up all night crying......CRYING!!!!!
I attempted to talk the manager into sending up a rollaway but she was insistent that I would need to pay an extra $25 for it!!
WHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTT!
Long story short, the next morning I decided to pack my bags and was headed out the door when the manager finally relented and sent up a rollaway free of charge for our second night.
Needless to say Ezra felt GREAT the next morning....and so did I.
Hooray for finally getting some sleep.
The day after the no sleep madness we drove out to a true pick-your-own strawberry patch, complete with a farmer sitting at a red gingham covered card table handing out buckets.
We gathered, and ATE, waaaaaay to many vine ripe, sun warm strawberries!
On our last daywe had just enough time to stop at the Waffle House and check off one more thing from our "things to do in the south" list.

Seriously....I'm all for belgian waffles and all....but more restaurants need to make old school "skinny" waffles like these!!
SO GOOD!
We were sad to leave the cousins behind, sad to say goodbye to Mee Mee and Pop Pop, and I'm pretty sure Aunt Lisa and I caused a scene in front of the Atlanta airport that several people will never forget.....
....SO SAD.....
....but then we found out that we'd been upgraded to first class and it made us feel a little better. =)
Goodbye Georgia!
You will always hold a little piece of my heart
(until that piece moves back to Utah anyway!)
